Energy
In liaison with the SNCF, INEXIA is involved in developing supply systems to optimise energy management, a major objective for future transports.
The energy bills related to railway transport and their power supply systems (mainly electric) is a significant factor in operating costs. It also has an impact on the environment.
INEXIA is aware of the challenge this represents and is committed to a sustainable mobility approach; therefore it provides its supply technique know-how for intelligent energy management.
It provides its skills and experience by organising reflection on:
- Improvement of energy capture and storage onboard trains or on the ground,
- The definition of new electrical equipment,
- An integrated vehicle-infrastructure-operation approach.
"Energy represents a major objective for rail designers and operators. It is important to design systems whose operating energy is controlled by adopting a complete approach from engineering to operation, and to build them with the same energy saving demands." Pierre-Etienne Gautier, Scientific Director.
