Tunnels and underground spaces

INEXIA has inherited skills acquired in major urban RER projects, such as Eole, inter-urban projects such as the different high speed lines or in crossing mountain ranges. Its specialised teams works on these projects from the upstream studies to work monitoring.

In this domain which is characterized by the absolute demand for safety and quality, our engineers design, calculate and dimension all types of underground engineering works: tunnels (rail or road), underground stations, etc.

Their know-how applies in particular to:

  • Investigation by defining, monitoring and interpreting geological and geotechnical reconnaissance campaigns,
  • Expertise with safety studies, risk analysis, structural modelling and aerodynamic studies,
  • The design and dimensioning by defining production methods in the ground, in rocks, under aquifers and in mountainous environments, as well as in urban sites, in mechanized or conventional modes,
  • Ventilation and structure fire resistance study,
  • Acoustics applied to the land (wave transmission in a closed environment).

Geotechnics

Understanding the environment is a fundamental component when developing a project, whether in an urban or a rural area. At INEXIA,
some fifteen engineers and draughtsmen specialising in geotechnics guarantee the success of relevant studies for each project.
